Framingham, MA — HeronGrace Nonprofit Solutions was an exhibitor at Massachusetts Nonprofit Network's recent fall conference and expo held at the Framingham, MA Sheraton on September 27th.

This year's conference — in its third year — was co-sponsored by Associated Grant Makers, a regional association of foundations and corporations with giving programs which functions as a voice for philanthropy in the region and acts as a bridge between funders and fund applicants.
We were pleased to have been a part of the event and we were able to make many new contacts during the day. Our table featured a large video monitor showing an animated presentation that highlighted key services we provide — including our NPO Builder Toolkits, Fundraising Consulting Services, and ways that our integrated web-based solution benefits our clients.
Representatives of between 500 and 650 organizations attended the event during the day, though I'd be hard pressed to say that all found their way to the exhibitor area. Signage could have been improved and more time alloted to visiting the exhibition hall. But having said that, we had lots of meaningful and engaging conversations with attendees and were pleased that our table became the crossing point for many attendees venturing into the area.
What became clear was that our integrated web site content management system and constituent relationship management solution is a hot topic of interest to many smaller nonprofits.
Quite a few attendees we talked to said that they were using donor databases that were very expensive and wanted to cut costs. While others mentioned that they liked the idea of integrating to eliminate redundancy. Most agreed that automating the capture of donor data through an online, real-time form that accepts payment and submits captured data straight into the CRM system was something they would prefer. We will be following up with many new contacts in the coming days and weeks.
